PTa
Camron is a Physical Therapy Assistant with his AAS from Western Technical College. He has an emphasis in outpatient orthopedics, balance rehabilitation and aquatic therapies.

Corinne Gafner
RN, BSN, MBA Director of Nursing
Ms. Gafner joined LCCR in May of 2013. She is a Registered Nurse who brings us 28 years of nursing/managerial experience. Her clinical background consists of experience in ICU, Quality Assurance and Home Health Care. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 2001 and has worked on a Regional level in Home Care, opening Home Care agencies across the US and preparing them for state/federal survey.

Karen McClary
DPT
Karen graduated from NMSU with a bachelors in athletic training education. She went on to receive her doctorate in physical therapy from UTEP. She has been a licensed PT for more than 10 years in outpatient orthopedics. Karen strives to make PT enjoyable and functional for her patients.

Sam Munoz
PTA, BS, CSCS
Samuel heads our pulmonary rehabilitation and cardiovascular strengthening program, with a background in Kinesiology and sports strengthening and conditioning. He obtained his bachelor’s degree and exercise physiology from New Mexico State University in 2014. While obtaining his Kinesiology degree he established his experience in orthopedic physical therapy as a technician, and strengthen and conditioning coach for athletes of various sports, later obtained his Physical Therapist Assistant licensure from San Juan College in 2019. Samuel is currently studying to obtain his Clinical Exercises Physiology certificate from the Academy of Sports Medicine to further his knowledge in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. New Mexico State University in 2014. Maricela Monsivaiz
Physical Therapist
Maricela has been a physical therapist in the outpatient setting for the past-17 years. She has also worked in the home health setting for the past 4 years. She graduated in 2004 with a masters in physical therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso. She also has a bachelors in Biology from NMSU. She is fluent in Spanish and successfully provides treatment for orthopedic problems with a strong background with treatment of the spine. She has been a certified McKenzie therapist since 2008. Maricela also holds a strong background and experienced providing relief to patients suffering with jaw pain/TMD. My number one priority is to keep the patient’s goal in mind and work together with the patient to have successful outcomes that are valuable to the patient.

Julian Mata
PTA
Julian earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from NMSU in 2017 while getting clinical experience as a physical therapy technician. Received his Associate’s of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant and Licensure from Western Technical College in April of 2022. Having experience in out patient ortho, aquatics and vestibule therapy, Julian is eager to further his knowledge in cardiopulmonary rehab.

Jennifer graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, in 2014. She has 8 years of Nursing experience in a hospital setting. She recently joined our team here at Las Cruces Rehab.

Morgan Gardner
PT, DPT
Morgan received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science in 2017 from NMSU. Morgan then went on to obtain her clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UTEP in 2021. She has worked with a wide range of patients including geriatrics, general population, athletes, pediatrics, and everyone in between. She is certified in functional dry needling, excited that it can be utilized as another tool for quality care. Morgan enjoys interacting with her patients and turning exercise into play for children.

Adrian Lucero
PT, DPT
Adrian, is a native of La Mesa, NM just south of Las Cruces in the south valley. He is a graduate of Las Cruces High School and a former baseball and football player. During high school, he sustained a lower leg break during his football season and was said to never have the ability to play sports again. Upon recovery from his surgical repair, Adrian dedicated the majority of his free time to rehabilitation. He was determined to recover and returned to compete in his final high school baseball season. Because of his experience with physical therapy and the encouragement and motivation that was provided to him, it inspired him to focus his education on pursuing a career in Physical Therapy, and help others in their rehabilitation just as he had been helped.
Adrian did continue playing baseball in college and obtained an Associate Degree of Science at Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ in 2016. He continued his education at Arizona State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in Tempe, AZ in 2018. Adrian was accepted at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Mesa, AZ and earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. He obtained a Certification in Functional Dry Needling to assist in managing pain and increase range of motion.
He has worked with patients in various settings including elderly patients in a skilled nursing facility, in acute care in a hospital setting, outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, and in athletics with Major League Baseball. Adrian is excited to be back home in Las Cruces, and dedicate his knowledge and skills in assisting his patients with a positive rehab experience geared toward recovery.

Cassandra Crowell

Cassandra is a local New Mexican and grew up in Farmington, New Mexico. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2024. Cassandra received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Sciences from Texas Tech University. She has a passion for sports as a prior collegiate athlete and loves being active. On the weekend she enjoys being outdoors with her dog and enjoying everything Las Cruces has to offer. Cassandra strives to achieve patient goal’s in a fun and educational environment to ensure every patient feels comfortable and cared for. She looks forward to serving all your physical therapy needs.

Danae is a native New Mexican, born and raised in Las Cruces. She is deeply connected to our state and the people who live here. Danae is an NMSU Aggie and recently graduated from Western Technical College with her Associates of Applied Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Jonathan Plank
ATC, LAT
Jon Plank is a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer from Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Wilmington College (Ohio) in 2009 with his Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and received his Master’s in Education from New Mexico State University in 2012. Jon has experience with Collegiate and High School sports as well as experience in the clinical setting. Jon enjoys hiking, camping and spending time with his family.
